(GSM) Performance - Business and Financial Analyst

Job Introduction

The Global Financial and Business Food Analyst role is pivotal in driving solid performance visibility, integrity, and reporting, at a consolidated global level, for Supply Management (SM) Food Service KPIs.

This role is the custodian of global food performance transparency and is divided into several key parts including business partnering for senior SM stakeholders, commercial analytics, food inflation reporting & insights and developing financial competencies across Supply Management.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Commercial finance activities
    • This role provides GSM Finance support to the VP GSM Food on strategic collaborations such as design, build and interpret financial models that support decision making for global supply category strategies and participate in globally led activities including developing financial use cases for analytical tools (i.e., Mintec) thus bringing external market insights into SM.
    • RFPs (Request for Proposal) utilizing techniques such as Total Cost of Ownership models (TCOs), scorecards, market analytics et al.
    • Review new or renegotiated global contract financials and pricing mechanisms with global buyers according to the delegation of authority, ensure delegations are respected.
  • Process and data activities
    • From a finance lens, contribute to the development of Supply Management’s digitalization in conjunction with global SM data/system/process team.
    • Contribute to transforming the organization: identify global finance Food Service KPI processes that could be managed/reported differently and implement innovation on financial activities in GSM
    • Provide insights on risks and opportunities to analytical accuracy given legacy data systems thus bringing visibility to, and improvement on, integrity of information I.e., category spend, saving calculation, operational KPI.
    • Work alongside other GSM Finance team members to develop SM utilization of Group reporting tools.
  • Performance activities
    • Consolidate, with insight, the worldwide monthly performance of Sodexo Food Service Inflation including proactive support in construction of the performance narrative at a global level. This includes constructively challenging regions on the result drivers and forecasted assumptions.
    • Be integral in developing methodology, via market indices and intelligence, to bridge the ‘interpretation gap’ between Sodexo internal inflation and market indexation.
    • Assist the Global SM Financial Controller with target, forecast and quarterly business review planning and content.
    • Ensure that Food Service performance reporting is aligned to Global SM reporting requirements and standards.
    • Actively participate in the evolution, build and implementation of Food Service KPIs

The Ideal Candidate

Profile

  • Analytical background with solid financial modelling for decision making experience that utilizes both internal and external data sources,
  • Proven track record of designing, reporting, and interpreting operational &/or financial KPIs to inform and influence business decisions,
  • Passion for collaboration with established customer focused ways of working
  • Financial project experience, design, build, execute.
  • Process-oriented and organized individual with emphasis on turning data into information, diligence, accuracy, attention to detail and respect of deadlines.
  • Individual who can work proactively and plan effectively, be agile with systems and data management
  • Ability to work transversally without authority, liaison worldwide
  • Inclusive qualities in a multi-cultural environment, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible and pragmatic, able to deal with complexity

Experience

  • 6+ years post qualification experience or QBE
  • Global mindset, international experience and/or exposure an advantage,
  • Fluency in English mandatory; any other language an advantage.
