Tax Specialist (12 Month FTC)

What you’ll do:

Prepare and submit various tax returns for both the UK and ROI, including corporate, VAT, and Intrastat.
Assist with the preparation of tax disclosure notes for statutory accounts across all UK and ROI legal entities.
Maintain the tax returns and payments calendar to ensure timely compliance.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve tax processes.
Participate in SAP user acceptance testing and support ongoing tax software projects.
Work closely with senior management to update compliance documentation and handle ad-hoc tax queries.
Stay updated with tax legislation changes and support the team in assessing impacts on Sodexo's operations.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, achieving at least a 2:1.
Professional qualification in Accountancy (AAT/ACA/ACCA) preferred, though not essential.
CiOT qualification is preferred, though not essential.
Experience from a Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting firm is highly advantageous.
At least 3-5 years of direct experience with tax compliance and corporate tax return preparation.
Strong technical knowledge of tax and accounting principles.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and ideally OneSource tax software.
