Front of House and Box Office Assistant

Please note that whilst the job is 25 hours per week on average, this will fluctuate during busy periods. We guarantee an average of 25 hours per week over a 3 month period. There are more hours available if interested.

To deliver excellent value to our customers, we have passionate team behind us, and we currently have a vacancy for a Auditorium Box Office Assistant to join us at Yarm School, Yarm, TS15 9EJ.

You’ll be creating a great experience to the students and customers in our Auditorium. You will be responsible for sale of tickets, re-seating and handling transactions at events. In addition, you will assist with marketing for our events and providing support with general administrative tasks’

What you'll do: 

  • To sell tickets though our daytime Box Office both in person and over the phone
  • To be our event Box Office at shows in the Princess Alexandra Auditorium and Friarage Theatre
  • To be the face of the organisation in so much that you will be the one greeting people and welcoming them to events
  • A good level of computer competency is required for Box Office tasks
  • To be our Assistant Front of House Manager on show nights, sometimes stepping in to cover the FOH manager due to holidays or frequency of events.
  • Assist with general Marketing tasks as directed by the Marketing Manager
  • A polite and confident approach to customer service is required.
  • Any other admin tasks as required

What you'll bring: 

Essential 

  • Be self-motivated.
  • Be a team worker with a flexible approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Have excellent IT skills.
  • Possess good communication skills, both verbally and written 
  • Have excellent understanding of customer care.

Desirable  

  • Have excellent note taking skills.
  • Previous experience
