Front of House Member

Job Introduction

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 5 over 7 Early shift 6am-1400 and late shift 1200-2000

Job Description:

As a Front of House member at Sodexo, located in RAF Odiham Hook RG29 1QT, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for our customers, particularly the armed forces personnel we serve. This role is all about making genuine connections and delivering excellent service to those who rely on us to enhance their daily experience. If you’re a friendly, approachable individual with great communication skills, you’ll thrive in this customer-facing role!

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by preparing, presenting, and serving food and beverages to company and client standards.
  • Support with the setup, replenishment, and cleaning of food counters, tables, and condiments.
  • Operate tills, manage cash handling, complete sales controls, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure food is stored, handled, and served safely in line with HACCP, health, and hygiene regulations.
  • Refill vending machines, check stock deliveries, and record food and temperature checks as required.
  • Assist with special functions and events, including those outside normal working hours.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming service environment at all times.
  • Respond to customer feedback, escalate complaints, and report any incidents, accidents, or irregularities

What You Bring:

  • Previous experience in food service, catering, or customer-facing roles (preferred but not essential).
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Confidence in handling cash, operating tills, and completing related documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach.
  • Flexibility to support different service areas and adapt to changing needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow company processes and standards.
  • Willingness to undertake training and continuously improve skills.
  • A proactive, safety-conscious attitude with attention to detail and cleanliness
