HMP Peterborough have an exciting opportunity for a Foreign National Administrator to join their team.
HMP Peterborough is the country’s only purpose-built prison for both male and female prisoners. We are committed to offering education and development programmes to provide prisoners with the skills required to enter employment on release, so reducing the chances of further offending.
What You’ll Do:
As a Foreign National Administrator, you will:
- Ensure quality recording of documents and statistics relating to foreign national prisoners
- Maintain all immigration paperwork & logs.
- Liaise with the home office, legal team, other prisons and the courts, regarding prisoners’ immigration status
- Work cross departmentally
- Complete all paperwork in relation to Embassy contact
- Complete up to date spreadsheets in relation to Complaints (DIRF) Discrimination Incident Reporting Form
- Keep up to date with current and upcoming legislation changes and communicate as appropriate.
- All required reports completed and delivered within set timescales

The Custody Administration department is an exciting, interesting, and fast paced team to work within, giving you lots of exposure to many aspects of the justice system. You will receive full training specific to the role - such as how to complete sentence calculations – and will also undertake the standard prison employee induction programme, where you will learn all about prison security, personal protection, keys and locks and more.
What You’ll Bring:

- Ability to build positive relationships with key agencies
- Be confident in your professional approach
- Experience of working in an administration role
- Knowledge of Immigration paperwork (desirable, but not essential)
