Job Description:

As a Food Service Supervisor at Sodexo at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX, you'll lead a team, ensuring smooth operations in the bar and food outlets. Your role is customer-facing, with a key focus on interacting with our Armed Forces personnel every day. What you’ll do:

  • Continue developing skills and complete required training.

  • Maintain excellent client and customer relationships.

  • Supervise and motivate the team to deliver high standards and engagement.

  • Manage cash, stock, and equipment responsibly.

  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas, transport, and associated spaces.

  • Support with refreshment services, functions, and preparation as required.

  • Follow safe working practices for equipment, chemicals, and cleaning materials.

  • Check deliveries, report defects, and monitor stock levels.

  • Prepare and serve drinks, including cellar duties.

  • Supervise catering delivery, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.

  • Report any accidents, faults, or near misses promptly.

  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

What you bring:

Essential:

  • Experience in a catering or Mess operations role.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.

  • Full, clean driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a military environment.

  • Previous supervisory experience with leadership skills.

  • Knowledge or qualification in Health & Safety and Food Safety.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Problem-solving and innovation skills.
