We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic FoodService Assistant to join our team with Sodexo in Scunthorpe on Saturdays only. Working within a busy and prestigious site, youwill play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience from ourfood service counters. A smart appearance, great communication skills, and apassion for providing excellent service are essential to meet the expectationsof our valued clients and customers.
What you'll do:
- Support all aspects of food preparation, presentation, service, and unit cleanliness to Sodexo standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service, including taking orders, serving at counters, operating tills, and handling cash accurately.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and appearance in line with company and statutory regulations (Health & Safety, COSHH, PPE).
- Assist with restocking, cleaning equipment and areas, and ensuring the environment remains clean and well-presented throughout service.
- Work collaboratively within the team, attend required training, and carry out additional tasks or cover duties as directed by management.
What you'll bring:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in food service, catering, or hospitality, with previous food handling experience.
- Ability to follow all health, safety, and hygiene practices to company standards.
- High standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and professionalism.
- Basic food hygiene certification and experience in compliance-driven environments (desirable).
