Finance Analyst
Job Introduction
Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Analyst to be based at client Site – Charing Cross Hospital (Hammersmith) with travel to all Imperial sites; St Mary's (Paddington) and Hammersmith Hospital (East Acton). You will develop; maintain and analyse accurate weekly and monthly KPIs / Management Information, assisting the management team in the efficient running and improvement of the contact and ensuring the monitoring of results to deliver budget targets. You will be responsible for a small team so any team lead or supervisory experience would be hugely beneficial.
Role Responsibility
- Develop and maintain various financial models and standard templates to assist in the effective running of the contract.
- Produce monthly review packs for the management teams (including analysis of actual v forecast projection) for discussion
- Work with the Commercial Financial Controller and General Managers to compile budgets and forecasts, and accurately report and justify actual financial performance against targets.
- Assist the Commercial FC in the review of forecasts/budgets to identify areas of concern and best practice across the sites
- Work with the segment retail analyst and site service manager to develop and implement site specific retail reporting to drive efficiencies and improve profit
- Analyse and report on monthly stock holding levels, working with service managers to ensure that stock levels are optimised
- Produce and review weekly reporting for the operational teams to use, assisting them in identifying areas requiring action.
- Monitor and report on progress against agreed action plans for review
- Assist in the analysis and review labour KPIs to identify areas requiring action
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Must have strong analytical skills including building models and data mining.
- Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or QBE
- Ability to process data from disparate sources and generate meaningful management information, produce financial reports in a clear and concise manner for financial and non-financial personnel
- Self starter with initiative and the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel
- Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with management of all levels
- Experience of working with non-finance personnel
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively.
Desirable
- Knowledge of budgetary management and accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team and flexible in approach
- Knowledge of Financial Systems/ Tools including SAP & Hyperion
