Facilities Support Technician

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Cork sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

• Portable appliance testing
• First line reactive service to split type air conditioning
• Monthly PPM to fire extinguishers
• PPM service to washroom facilities
• PPM to AV systems
• Lift inspections
• First line roller shutter reactive service
• Co Ordinate Permits to Work
• Co Ordinate asset registers on SAP
• Co Ordinate site reactive ticket system (Solvex)
• Raise, action & close work orders
• Supervision of central stores
• Technical cleaning support
• Technical catering support
• Specialist housekeeping of MCCS and Plant Rooms

The Ideal Candidate

Key Competences Required…

• Excellent written & Spoken English
• Experience with PAT  testing equipment
• Good computer literacy experience with SAP
• Basic understanding of air conditioning units and their operation
• Experience in working at height
• Use of PPE
• Mechanical experience
• Flexibility with working hours
• Full driving licence
• Ability to work on their own initiative
• Client liaison
• Able to work as part of a wider team of both technical and non-technical people

Competences desirable

• Fork lift truck licence
• D Class driving licence
• GMP Experience
• Electrical qualification

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or “What it will look like when you are doing the job well”

• All work completed in time in a safe and compliant manner
• A reduction in reactive maintenance
• Positive customer feedback
