Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at Sodexo in Banbury, you are also a dedicated professional and a crucial part of a collaborative team. You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safe operation of a wide range of electrical building services equipment. Your role will contribute significantly to the seamless functioning of our facility, ensuring comfort and efficiency for all users. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do:

• Undertake maintenance and reactive activity to a wide range of Electrical Building Services equipment including but not limited to LV systems, general lighting, building controls, small power, and distribution, BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises.

• Conduct inspection and reactive activity within your levels of competency on Mechanical Building Services equipment.

• Be an essential part of the local team ensuring the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on site.

• Participate in a rota to provide reactive maintenance service outside operating hours.

• Undertake weekend/out of hours work to complete intrusive maintenance activities as required.

• Implement systems to ensure plant is maintained and operated to its optimum efficiency.

• Assist in monitoring site performance of sub-contractors and report poor performance.

• Use IT systems (Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system.


What you bring:

• C&G 2382-12 (18th Edition BS7671:2008) ideally with C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing.

• Recognised formal electrical apprenticeship.

• HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical building services.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Numerate and computer literate.

• Strong client focus and good organisational skills.

• Working knowledge of Health & Safety and relevant current legislation.

• Personal presentation of a high professional standard.

• UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
