Job Introduction
Reporting to the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion we have a fantastic opportunity for a DE&I Advisor to join our team.
Do you have a clear understanding of the broad DE&I agenda and its impact on the workforce, workplace, marketplace and community and an ability to promote this to others effectively to all organisation leader levels ? Can you influence change and challenge the status quo and support continuous Improvement through DE&I.

Role Responsibility
Act as a subject matter expert to HRD,HRBPs, Function heads, Operational Management teams, and manage relationships with peers internally and externally with Client and Supplier organisations
▪Translate the DE&I Strategy into deliverable plans that align with both UK&I and global DE&I and social value impact pathways
▪Lead, be accountable and own delivery of annual DE&I programmes/ events
▪Deliver strategic partnerships with agreed stakeholders (network co-chairs/taskforce leaders, executive level sponsors, Social Value etc) to agree and implement medium term plans designed to impact measures within our workplace, workforce, communities and marketplace which are aligned with our UKI DE&I Strategy and being mindful of wider organisational initiatives.
▪Partner with Sodexo Global DE&I colleagues on specific projects and initiatives with a global impact as agreed with line manager (possible examples include campaigns around international women’s day, creation of client facing events to build our brand/ web of influence).
▪Be responsible for delivering and deploying the internal DE&I communications strategy, in partnership with stakeholders, across multiple internal channels. The strategy should ensure coverage speaks to different audiences from front line employee to senior managers.
▪Support the development of annual external award/ benchmarking submission strategy identifying opportunities to increase employee engagement, learn from external best practice and build our brand as an employer and business partner of choice. This will require detailed knowledge of DE&I best practices in other organisation to understand the strength of our own approach as well as any gaps which may exist.
▪Work closely with HR analytics team to ensure demographic analytics are available facilitate insights, impact tracking and measurement to inform and develop the DE&I strategy
▪Lead a structured and self-sufficient approach to running specific projects which require specialist DE&I knowledge or guidance to the quality/budget/timeframes agreed with line manager to meet the strategic plan (for example NGO benchmark completions).
▪Actively manage relationships with external NGO’ to ensure we are maximizing opportunities, are receiving value for money and are up to date with external best practice
▪Support with the administration of the function including raising purchase orders, support with scheduling meetings and monthly reporting
▪Support continuous improvement throughout DE&I
▪Respond to ad hoc queries and request for support from internal and external stakeholders and employees
The Ideal Candidate
A clear understanding of the broad DE&I agenda and its impact on the workforce, workplace, marketplace and community and an ability to promote this to others
▪Demonstrable examples of translating ‘DE&I best practice’ into workable organisational approaches through stakeholder influencing
▪Experience of delivering initiatives and activities through volunteers and champions
▪Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at different organisational levels (including executive level) with the purpose of raising awareness and educating as well as securing buy in and commitment to undertaking actions.
▪Experience of effectively building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders at different sites/ levels in the hierarchy
▪Strong HR competence and an understanding of how the different HR specialist areas can impact upon DE&I outcomes
▪Strong analytical mind able to translate data into insights and action
▪The role holder should be comfortable, taking the initiative, identifying opportunities to drive the DE&I agenda and balancing multiple priorities
▪Sound knowledge of Equality legislation and abreast of future of legislation pending
▪High level of communication skills (both verbal and written)
▪Strong influencing skills with experience of engaging with varied and senior stakeholders, both internal and external
▪Experience of managing multiple priorities and stakeholder (internal & external) requirements
▪Highly organised and responsive and able to work autonomously to tight deadlines
