Director of Applications, Data & Digital
As the Director of Applications, Data & Digital within IT at Sodexo, you'll be responsible for implementing and realising the strategy and roadmaps for one of our key IT functions. You will be delivering the technical elements of a major data and digital transformation is critical for our business as we push our strategic growth ambitions. You'll work together with the wider IT Leadership Team to drive improvements to our application data and digital landscape, as well as mature our product portfolio, to support Sodexo as a tech-enabled business.
What you’ll do:
- Set the vision & technical strategy for our application estate and data & digital products to align to Sodexo's global strategy, ensuring our business growth ambitions are supported into the future
- Drive a large-scale transformation designing and building our operating model to encompass data and digital into our application portfolio, enabling Sodexo to become a more product-led business
- Enthusiastically support innovation in this area to drive best value for the business and incorporate new technology developments e.g. AI, automation, datafication etc.
- Manage multiple teams in this space, driving industry standards, innovation, coaching and developing colleagues to deliver fantastic services and support the wider business
- Acting as a trusted supplier with the business working with them to understand how IT can better partner with the business
- Conduct rationalisation of our legacy estate to focus on new development of our data and business capabilities to become application agnostic, as well as establish transversal processes, frameworks, methods and tools to drive synergies and integration
What you bring:
- Proven experience leading application, digital & data functions, especially designing and delivering technical transformations in this space
- Strong capability to navigate large, complex organisations in the professional services industry, ideally retail, facilities management or food services
- Experience of rationalisation of a large estate, whilst promoting the innovative use of digital & data products to the wider business
- Experience outsourcing capabilities in a commercial way to enhance cost efficiencies whilst still maintaining responsive, high-calibre delivery
- The ability to achieve UK security vetting is a requirement of this role
