Deputy Chef Manager
Job Introduction
As a Chef Manager at Sodexo in Phillips 66 Humber Refinery, you will plan, execute, and manage the production and delivery of daily food as well as assist as needed for internal and external Sodexo catering events, ensuring they are delivered to an exceptionally high standard in accordance with company and client expectations and service level agreements. What you’ll do:
- Plan and cost meals using Recipe Online and Chef's Work to satisfy the food service offer stipulated in the contract while ensuring compliance with fixed food costs. Make sure that menu planning, ordering, and stock management processes only use Sodexo-approved vendors.
- Work in the kitchen assisting with daily food preparation, pioneering, and innovating food concepts, promotions, healthy eating, and sustainable fish options.
- Comply with all company and client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health and Safety, Safe Working Practices, Hygiene, Cleanliness, Fire and COSHH. This will include awareness of any specific hazards in the workplace and training of staff in these.
- Ensure that the temperature of fridges, freezers and hot cupboards / serveries are monitored and recorded in line with company regulations and the Food Safety Act, ensure all areas comply with HACCP.
- Assist at any special ad hoc functions, some of which may occur outside working hours
What you bring:
- A passion for food and great customer service
- 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent, RIPHH and IOSH Certificates
- Working knowledge of;
- Cook Chill Catering
- HACCAP
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
- Good Communicational Skills including written and spoken English
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others
- High standards for your behaviour, appearance, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
