Corporate Sales Manager
Job Introduction
We are currently looking for a proactive sales person for The Crystal at Royal Victoria Dock, to join the team on a 6 month contract. The role is predominantly field based to drive pipeline enquiries into the venue. The Crystal showcases sustainability at its best, pioneering sustainability and innovation, a state-of-the-art visitor attraction and global knowledge hub. The suitable candidate would work as an ambassador for The Crystal to position the venue as a world class, meetings and events venue within the London Market.

For over 40 years we have been providing bespoke catering and hospitality services for sports stadia, racecourses, visitor, attractions, historic venues, major events and premium airline lounges. Recognised across the globe for hospitality, we help create exceptional moments at extraordinary events such as Royal Ascot, Tour de France, The Open Championship, RHS Chelsea Flower Show and the Rugby World Cup.
Role Responsibility
The key objectives of this role are:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy in conjunction with the Sales Director South to generate new client and agency leads for the venue
- Organise sales appointments both locally and nationally with focus on good territory planning
- Undertake sales initiatives to drive revenue during underperforming periods and to ensure this is addressed
- Proactively manage account portfolio performance and implement activities to drive new enquiries to The Crystal
- Work closely with the Central Enquiry Hub and central marketing team to increase awareness, drive new enquiries and support conversion
- In conjunction with the on-site Crystal sales team and Central Enquiry Hub, Identify and develop new customers and key accounts
- Monitor competitor activity and customer behaviour
- Compile a weekly sales report specifically for The Crystal to record sales activities, enquiry pipeline generated and confirmed business.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in direct sales, preferably in hotel, venue or hospitality sales.
- Strong industry network – booking agents and corporate clients
- Understanding of competition, industry cycles and trends
- Structured and analytical thinker with the ability to translate research into insight that is meaningful and actionable for the business
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of engaging and influencing others in a large and diverse business environment
- Confident and energetic with a persuasive manner and good negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
- Management skills to include; business planning, business organisation, sales & marketing reporting
- Ability to carry out formal and informal presentations
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word & Excel

6 Months Fixed Term Contract.
Up to £37,000 + Sales Bonus + Pension
