Control Room – CCTV Operative
Location: Guinness at Old Brewer’s Yard, Covent Garden, WC2H 7LT
Rate of Pay: £16.80 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, averaging 42 hours per week (including a mix of day, night, early and late shifts)
Working Hours: Rotational shifts including weekends and bank holidays
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are looking for a professional and proactive Control Room – CCTV Operative to join our security team at Guinness at Old Brewer’s Yard, a flagship site in the heart of Covent Garden. This unique, high-profile venue blends immersive brand experiences with vibrant hospitality—featuring bars, restaurants, retail, an experience centre, and flexible event spaces.
As a key part of the security operation, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the venue, its people, and its assets, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment at all times.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Site Security & Patrols – Conduct internal and external patrols, monitor high-risk areas, manage access control, issue ID cards, and maintain key registers.
CCTV & Systems Monitoring – Operate and monitor CCTV systems in line with SIA and GDPR regulations; respond to alarms and fire panel activations using the P2D 360 and tagging systems.
Incident Response & Reporting – Provide first-line incident response, including first aid if needed; carry out searches, escalate concerns appropriately, and complete incident reports accurately.
Customer Service & Communication – Professionally meet and greet staff, contractors, and visitors; maintain radio comms; manage calls and emails as part of a high-performing team.
Compliance & Administration – Maintain daily logs and documentation in line with Sodexo and Diageo policies; support audits and contribute to inductions.
Flexibility & Training – Work across a 24/7 operation, including weekends and short notice shifts; attend training and assist the security manager and lead as required.
What You Bring:
Licensing & Compliance – Valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licences are essential.
Experience – Prior experience in hospitality, bar, or event security; premium venue experience is desirable.
Technical Knowledge – Competent with CCTV and access systems; familiar with venue safety procedures and incident protocols.
Skills & Abilities – Excellent communication, calm under pressure, with strong conflict management skills.
Professionalism – Smart appearance and a customer-first approach with a good understanding of licensing and compliance.
Flexibility – Able to work across all shift types, including weekends; First Aid trained or willingness to be certified.
