Contract Co-ordinator

Job Introduction

As a Contract Coordinator at Sodexo in Hexham - NE48 2EZ, You'll will be responsible for our corporate sites continuous improvement and operational excellence. You have a keen eye for detail, and your organisational skills will ensure everything runs like clockwork.  Join Sodexo and be part of something greater.   What you’ll do:  

  • To co-ordinate site PPM’s and small works.
  • Ensure contractor documentation is completed and stored methodically and timely
  • Manage and escort contractors onsite, following site protocol for access.
  • To monitor and maintain all areas of responsibility to the set standards within the timeframe given, complying at all times with standards laid down in the work schedule
  • Ensure safety signage used at all times – e.g wet floor, trip hazards, cleaning equipment
  • Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance – comply with company regulations, wearing uniform, safety shoes and PPE provided
  • To undertake a periodic cleaning programme as directed, complete cleaning duties as required.
  • To follow COSHH regulations when using chemicals and ensure safe and economic use of these at all times
  • To maintain a tidy appearance and professional conduct at all times
  • To immediately report defective equipment.
  • Communicate cleaning material requirements
  • To maintain a safe system of work in compliance with Company Health and Safety Procedures
  • To assist colleagues with departmental responsibilities once duties are completed
  • To continue to develop skills and knowledge within the position

What you bring:  

  • Demonstrate experience of working in a similar role within the service industry at a comparable level in a company
  • Knowledge of health & safety
  • Able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Basic level training in COSHH regulations 
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the cleaning specifications relating to the various types of surfaces to be cleaned and to have received training in cleaning techniques and the use of industrial cleaning equipment
