Commi Chef at Heritage Portfolio

The Colonnades at the Signet Library are currently looking for a Commi Chef to the team. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individual.  You will join our small yet strong team who provides friendly yet professional service in a beautiful Georgian setting.  Located in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, Colonnades at the Signet Library is the perfect place for 'Edinburgh's Finest Afternoon Tea'.



 

Role Responsibility

  • Assisting the kitchen team with the daily preparation and mis-en-place for service
  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods on various sections.
  • Preparing the production of savoury and sweet items to a high standard
  • Assisting the kitchen team with unloading and putting away deliveries, emptying bins, and ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Be organised and adaptable with the ability to support all aspects 
  • Be motivated and excellent at working as part of a team with the ability to multitask and work to specific time frames agreed
  • Be able to follow recipes and specifications to ensure quality as standard as well as bringing new recipes and product development
  • Have a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
