Job Purpose

The Cleaning Supervisor willassist the General Services Manager in the day-to-day management of cleaningoperations to ensure effective service delivery, full compliance with healthand safety legislation, and adherence to the client’s specifications. This roleinvolves supervising a team of cleaning operatives, upholding high standards,and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all team members.

KeyResponsibilities

• Ensure cleaning rotas are adequately staffed and team members are clear on their responsibilities.
• Implement and adhere to safe systems of work and all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Monitor and ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required on-site standards.
• Maintain a full working knowledge of all cleaning areas and ensure these are consistently upheld.
• Follow all client and company policies and procedures at all times.
• Promote and maintain high standards of professionalism, conduct, and operational efficiency.
• Foster consistent and effective team communication.
• Perform cleaning duties as required to support the team and service delivery.
• Report maintenance faults promptly using the correct procedures.
• Attend mandatory training courses to stay up to date with legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Undertake any miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Senior Cleaning Supervisor or General Services Manager.

EssentialKnowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Proven supervisory experience, ideally within a cleaning or facilities environment.
• Strong people management and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet operational needs.
• Solid knowledge of the cleaning industry and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
