Cellar Supervisor at ACC Liverpool

Job Introduction

Main Objectives:

To be responsible for maintaining a high level of wet stock management, stock rotation and effective stock distribution within all areas of the business. Keep a good practice of housekeeping & ensure all equipment that relates to the department is cleaned and maintained. Ensure all Cellar operatives are operating to the company’s SOP’s.

 

Working Relationships:

  1. Site General Manager and Cellar Operations Manager
  2. Bar Persons
  3. Cellar Assistants

 

Key attributes:

• Be an excellent leader (essential)

• Be able to inspire and motivate (essential)

• Have good planning, presentation and time management skills

• Be professional and ethical

• Positive attitude and friendly approach

• Previous experience working as Cellar Operative/Supervisor in a demanding, fast paced environment

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  1. Manage stock levels including placing orders when required for business needs.
  2. Ensure an effective stock rotation procedure, operating the FIFO system.
  3. Ensure any stock transfers are recorded on the event preparation sheet.
  4. Ensure stocktakes are accurate and completed for all areas of the business.
  5. Guarantee availability at peak/busy periods for the business, whilst informing cellar manager in good time of time off requests.
  6. That all tasks are carried out with Sodexo Health & Safety regulations in mind, documenting all H&S tasks at all times.
  7. That any damage or health and safety issues are reported in a timely manner.
  8. That all waste products are disposed of and recorded as per wastage SOP.
  9. That the closedown check sheet is completed at the end of every shift.
  10. Responsible for maintaining the company standards for cellar operations.
  11. To manage cellar assistants whilst on shift.
  12. That PPE personnel protective equipment is worn when required to carry out specific cellar tasks.
  13. Accompany the Cellar manager on the close down walk round to ensure all areas are left clean and tidy at the end of the shift.
  14. To conduct duties in a manner that reflects the business in a positive way.

Please note this job is 30-40 hours per week and could lead into a full time position
