Imagine coordinating and directing all catering activities within the school environment.
As a Catering Manager at Sodexo, overseeing operations at Leicester Grammar School you'll have the chance to continually elevate food standards, ensuring they align with both client and Sodexo expectations. You'll take the lead in ensuring exceptional catering services across pupil service, hospitality, and our coffee shop, both internally and externally.
Attendance is required at Open Mornings, Open Evenings, and select weekend sporting fixtures. Any time spent during these events will be compensated with lieu time during school closure periods.

What you’ll do:
- Oversee catering operations, driving excellence in service quality and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with Head Chef and teams for effective communication and performance enhancement.
- Plan promotions, manage budgets, and build lasting client relationships.
- Ensure food safety, compliance with dietary requirements, and meticulous hygiene standards.
- Contribute to financial performance analysis and deliver monthly business reviews.
- Engage in development plans, training sessions, and use advanced tools for streamlined operations.
- Share culinary expertise through engaging sessions with pupils.
What you bring:
- Experienced business manager in a commercial retail environment.
- Ability to manage diverse budget components and analyse problems innovatively.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and clear leadership style.
- Strong time management, organisational skills, and a flexible approach to the role.
- Proficiency in using tools like EprophIT, DRIVe, UDC, Right time, Sodexonet, and DMS.
- Passion for continuous self-development, learning, and striving for excellence.
- Food Safety and Health and Safety certification.
