Job Introduction 

At Sodexo Live!, we bring unforgettable experiences to life. We are proud to deliver high-quality hospitality across the American Express Stadium, home of Brighton & Hove Albion FC, and we’re looking for a passionate, creative, and inspiring Executive Chef to lead our culinary brigade.

As Executive Chef, you'll be the driving force behind all culinary operations at the stadium – from premium matchday hospitality and VIP boxes to large-scale events and vibrant fan experiences. You’ll set the food vision, lead a dynamic brigade, and ensure every dish reflects the excellence Sodexo Live! is known for.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead all food production across the stadium: 1901 Club, restaurants, boxes, East Stand, Terrace & events.

  • Manage a brigade of 7 core chefs and 40+ matchday chefs to deliver outstanding menus and service styles.

  • Develop creative, trend-led, and commercially viable menus aligned with Sodexo’s culinary standards.

  • Maintain rigorous control over food costs (COS), labour spend, and kitchen efficiencies.

  • Uphold and exceed Sodexo’s high standards of food safety, allergen management, and H&S compliance.

  • Be a visible, inspirational leader – motivating your team to deliver with energy and precision every time.

  • Collaborate with site GMs, clients and culinary teams for tastings, seasonal launches and kitchen strategy.

  • Implement robust stock control systems and ensure SOPs are followed at every touchpoint.

  • Play an active role in recruitment, mentoring, and growing a high-performing kitchen team.

What You Bring:

  • NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 in Culinary Arts or equivalent

  • Diploma in Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4 preferred)

  • Proven leadership experience in a large-scale or multi-outlet kitchen environment

  • Strong budget management and commercial acumen (P&L responsibility)

  • Passion for food innovation, sustainability, and delivering to the highest standards

  • Excellent communication, presentation and team development skills

  • Experience in stadia, large venues, or high-volume catering a strong advantage
