Casual Hospitality Event Staff for Heritage Portfolio

Job Introduction

Heritage Portfolio are currently recruiting fun loving Casual Hospitality Event Staff who are committed to delivering exceptional customer service. We deliver outstanding catering in partnership with venues of distinction, operating event services ranging from large scale corporate, private parties and exclusive weddings in and around Edinburgh.

We are proud of the amazing venues we work with and are growing our events team to work at venues such as; Royal Botanic Gardens, Signet Library, Dundas Castle, Musselburgh Race Course & The Palace of Holyrood House. Previous experience in bar or waiting work is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided. Applicants must be over 18.

No two days are the same. We host various types of events; conferences, weddings, corporate dinners and drinks receptions etc. One day you could be working behind a busy bar at Musselburgh Race Course and the next, being part of a team creating memorable moments at a bespoke wedding at one of our stunning venues; there is never a dull day at Heritage Portfolio.

Don’t have experience in hospitality (yet), that’s no problem - this is a great opportunity to learn new skills, develop up the ranks, meet new people, explore Edinburgh and enjoy flexible work around university/other commitments etc.

Shifts vary each week dependent on our event schedule, which means you can book in for as much as or as little work as you want. Shifts range from 4 hours to 12 hours. We have an exciting summer of events lined up; Ladies Day at Musselburgh & Perth Races, the Royal Garden Party at the Palace of Holyrood House and the Edinburgh Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle.

We pay weekly

Staff incentives, include our star of the month award with prizes such as afternoon tea for 2 at the Signet Colonnades, cinema tickets, restaurant vouchers & much more.

Role Responsibility

Serving food & beverage to customers to the highest standards possible and ensuring they have the best customer service experience. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in bar or waiting work is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided.
  • Applicants must be over 18.

Heritage Portfolio is the sub-segment of Sodexo Live! that produces outstanding catering and event services for our cultural destinations. These include exceptional “in-house” café services in some of Britain’s leading visitor attractions such as V&A Dundee, The Signet Library, The Scottish National Gallery, private parties and dining, weddings and prestigious events including The Queen’s annual Royal Garden Party for which we are honoured to have received a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen as Supplier of Catering Services.
