Business Analyst

Job Introduction

Sodexo's Sports & Leisure segment are seeking to improve data driven decision making and are looking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst who will support with the  identification, creation and automation of reports to assist with this ambition.

You will have a real passion and appetite to gather, develop, maintain and analyse accurate performance data, assisting the management team in the running and performance improvement of the Sports and Leisure segment.

This is a critical role where you will be supporting across operations and functions within the segment, engaging with teams at all levels, from front line supervisory teams up to UK CEO.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Using Power BI, build reports and monthly review packs for the management teams on business critical activities.
  • Support the segment business in analysing current and projecting future performance
  • Work with the segment finance and operational teams in conjunction with central purchasing to drive purchasing compliance
  • Analyse labour productivity across sites and work with the finance and operational managers to identify areas for focus and opportunity and where best practice can be identified.
  • Provide assistance in automating client facing reporting
  • Work alongside finance managers across the business to identify and disseminate best practice.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience and knowledge of using PowerBI, including building dashboards from ground up
  • Must have strong analytical skills including building models and data mining
  • Ability to process data from disparate sources and generate meaningful management information, produce financial reports in a clear and concise manner for financial and non-financial employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including VBA coding) and Powerpoint
  • You will ideally have a finance background or an understanding of financial reporting
  • Self starter with initiative and the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with management of all levels.
