Administrator (Key Worker) at HMP Peterborough

Job Introduction

Are you looking for a new administration support opportunity in a rewarding role which contributes to changing lives for the better?

We are currently seeking a for an Administrator (Key Worker) at HMP Peterborough, who is highly organized and detail oriented.

As an Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the day-to-day administrative tasks within our organization. This position requires a strong ability to multitask, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. You will be responsible for all administrative duties as required by the Manager, ensuring the function is run efficiently and cost effectively when performing work as required and planned.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain all appropriate records and documentation. 
  • You will also oversee system data entry, which is why is highly important for you to have high level of IT competent especially Excel. 
  • You will be corresponding with key internal and external stakeholders on all administrative matters within your allocated function.
  • You will work closely and co-operate with colleagues in other areas to ensure the safe and smooth running of the prison.
  • Any administration actions will need to be completed accurately and in a timely way and will satisfy all appropriate audit requirements.
  • Residents are processed through the induction correctly and allocated when suitable.

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Must have a working knowledge of IT, including Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • A proven track record of working under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Should have a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in a similar environment or role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be adept at working in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills.
  • A high level of confidentiality and discretion is required.
  • Being organising and planning your workload accordable

All offers are subject to full security clearance checks. 

Salary: Up to £22818.84 after 1 year of service it will go up to £24035.48

Working hours: 37.5 with a regular Mon-Fri Pattern
