Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting a customer focused Administrator who enjoys a diverse and exciting, busy day in the office to provide full administration support at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Hospital (Oxford Road campus).

The role provides the opportunity for you to enhance and develop your general admin skills in a busy environment. With strong attention to detail and organisation skills, no two days are the same! You will provide full administrative support to the Service Operation Leads, Service Managers and all of the support functions, covering all levels of administration tasks on site whilst ensuring deadlines are met. 

 

Role Responsibility

  • Support and cover all levels of administration tasks on site
  • Offer administration support to various stakeholders within a generalist capacity
  • Take minutes of meeting as required in formal meetings
  • Ensure all employee files are kept up to date – filing on a regular basis, archiving  and creating new files
  • Provide a helpful and efficient service, including dealing with incoming telephone calls and visitors booking rooms where required and relaying messages
  • Carry out a variety of general administrative tasks as directed by the Senior Admin Officer, including printing, laminating, photocopying, binding and scanning of documents
  • Assist with the opening and circulation of post and ordering of office stationery
  • Support with the noticeboard updates across the site to ensure they are compliant and displaying all weekly and monthly updates
  • Arrange rail, air and hotel accommodation as requested through Sodexo’s preferred travel booking system for colleagues
  • Provide support to other members of the Admin Team to meet deadlines and provide cover as and when required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous Administration experience
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to co-ordinate workloads
  • Experience of being proactive and reactive in a admin role
  • Proven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Organised, methodical and show attention to detail.
  • Have a can-do and adaptable approach and strive to anticipate what is needed and take appropriate action
  • Able to prioritise and carry out instructions
  • A team player to take account of other’s workloads and offers help
  • Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information
