Accountant (Inter Company)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting an Inter Company Accountant based from offices in Salford Quays. This is a 12 month contract to cover someone who has moved into a new role internally. You will be responsible for ensuring Intercompany policies on cross charging are met, and intercompany reporting is accurate & timely. Also responsible for ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet accounting for Payroll, for Business Services managed segments. We are ideally looking for an accountant currently studying who has shared service experience

Role Responsibility

INTERCOMPANY SPECIFIC

  • Preparation & input of intercompany journals in line with Intercompany policy, ensuring adequacy of supporting documentation.
  • Review authorisation of intercompany invoices to ensure amounts charged are in line with policy and agreed up front.
  • Monthly agreement in HFM of all intercompany balances (P&L & balance sheet) with all segments who whom trade has taken place, in line with Group Timetable.
  • Complete monthly intercompany balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist and perform UAT Testing

 

PAYROLL SPECIFIC

  • Monthly reconciliation of Payroll Creditor balance sheet accounts & reporting of risks within those accounts.
  • Processing  Court order administration fees
  • Ensuring accuracy in the payment of deductions to payroll vendors through robust control processes
  • Reconciliation/Cleardown of flexible benefits/pension accounts
  • Key point of contact for internal & external auditors

The Ideal Candidate

  • Part qualified accountant  or significant experience of working within Finance environment 
  • Knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of customers and their needs and delivers on promises made
  • Experience and ability to continually drive process improvement and efficiencies whilst maintaining a secure control environment

Desirable

  • Shared Service Centre experience preferred
