About the role
- 16 hours per week
- 4 hours per day Monday to Thursday
- Most shifts will begin at 7am. However, on a rota basis you may be scheduled to work your 4 hours up to 4pm and on occasion there may be a 6am start to assist with deliveries
- £12.21 per hour

Job Description
Working at the Home of the Royal Navy Fleet, this is a unique opportunity to join a Global Organisation with over 430,000 staff worldwide, and provide support to our Armed Services Personnel.
As a General Assistant at Sodexo in HMNB Portsmouth, PO1 3HH, you’ll be responsible for maintaining logistical support for retail operations on site. If you're looking for a role with variety where no two days will be the same, this could be the job for you!
What you’ll do:
- Receiving deliveries of food and beverage products and delivering to retail outlets on site
- Stock Control
- Escorting contractors on site
- Using vehicles daily for work purposes on site
- Daily vehicle checks and reporting faults
- Cash handling
- Disposal of packaging and moving delivery cages
What you bring:
- Able to work on own initiative within a team environment
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- IT literate
- Driving is required for this position. For insurance purposes you must be over 25 and hold a Full UK Driving License covering both manual and automatic vehicles
- Due to security requirements you must have been continuously resident in UK for last 3 years to apply for this position
