Job Description
As a Food Service Assistant with Sodexo at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX. You'll play an important role in supporting military personnel on a Ministry of Defence (MOD) base. Your day-to-day interactions will directly impact the experience of those serving, ensuring they have a positive and efficient dining experience.
What You’ll Do:Develop your skills and complete any required training.
Maintain excellent client and customer relationships.
Keep work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Prepare and serve meals following recipes and portion guidelines.
Operate the till accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
Report any accidents, faults, or near misses to management.
Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and presentation standards are met.
Support with stock control, waste reduction, and general cleaning duties.
Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain site security.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
What You’ll Need
Essential
Good verbal communication skills.
Experience working in a similar role within the service industry.
Desirable
Experience working within a military environment.
Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates.
