Sales and Marketing Director - Tillery Valley Foods

Tillery Valley Foods is the market leader in healthcare catering, with nearly 30 years experience solving the sector's complex needs.

 

Reporting to the Healthcare Sales Director, the Sales & Marketing Director for Tillery Valley Foods, will take a pivotal role in the Tillery Valley business, spearheading the sales and marketing strategy in a competitive and ever changing market place.

Role Responsibility

Key responsibilities: 

  • To manage the Tillery Valley Foods sales team to deliver a year on year sales improvement and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • To help lead the wider Tillery Valley Foods team in order to help the business achieve its annual business goals
  • To develop and implement a sustainable sales and marketing strategy to leverage Tillery Valley’s core competencies within the market place.
  • To work alongside the Tillery Valley operational and new product development teams in order to continually develop the most appropriate products in support of the marketing strategy
  • To work alongside the Sodexo Healthcare business development team to help leverage Tillery valley as a competitive advantage to the Healthcare business 
  • To meet or exceed Tillery Valley sales and profit  targets year on year
  • To oversee bid efforts for new opportunities to continually win new contracts
  • Via the sales team, build and maintain a robust and qualified pipeline of new business opportunities
  • To clearly communicate to the Healthcare Sales Director the pipeline opportunities
  • To have regular contact with current and potential clients in order to understand the market requirements and to ensure exceptional service is delivered across the country
  • Continually and proactively gather market and competitive intelligence, feed this into the forward planning activities and sales & marketing plans
  • Drive a new product development pipeline that is based on market need and creating a competitive advantage
  • Leverage Tillery Valley Foods as a competitive advantage for Sodexo
  • Closely engage with the Sodexo Healthcare Business Development team

The Ideal Candidate

Experience required: 

  • A solid and demonstrable track record of delivering excellent results within a senior sales and marketing role.
  • Experience in managing a sales team of at least 3 sales professionals
  • Sales and / or marketing experience within the NHS or healthcare environment
  • Experience in catering or food based businesses
  • Experience or education in nutrition
