Job Introduction
We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join Peyton and Byrne (part of Sodexo) as the Restaurant Manager, this unique role based at the Wallace Collection will provide you with an opportunity work in a high quality fusion restaurant.
Peyton and Byrne was founded by renowned restaurateur Oliver Peyton in 2005, with a flexible and high quality offering they develop unique products and branding to match the needs and aspirations of their customers. Peyton and Byrne are part of Sodexo, globally recognised for hospitality excellence Sodexo help create and deliver exceptional customer experiences at world renowned venues and sporting events such as Ascot, Bateaux, The Open and RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Role Responsibility
The Restaurant Manager works in a full service restaurant and has responsibility for delivering quality service by training, developing and leading a well-briefed, motivated, guest-orientated team, planning, and communicating within all departments to deliver service and safety as required by the Company. The Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager in key areas of the business by learning and running key administrative and leadership tasks.
You will live the company values and ethos by heading up the team with the highest standards of safety, hygiene, service, hospitality, financial performance and food quality building a motivated team by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
In addition you will take ownership for maintaining the budget set out by the General Manager, organising and communicating between the various departments and teams. You will assist to drive sales through various incentives, training and development activities, maintaining high standards of product, service, and health and safety.
Well-presented and driven to actively drive a strong relationship with client, colleagues and team the Restaurant Manager acts as a mentor for a designated group of team, delivering support to Peyton & Byrne/Sodexo standards.
You will be responsible for the strategic planning of the team, shift patterns (costed rota), and day-to-day management activities. Under the guidance of your General Manager you may be asked to assist in undertaking creative tasks particularly in marketing and any business development when needed.
You have completed the following training: Level 2 Food Safety certificate, Welcome and Induction Level 1 Health and Safety, Emergency First Aid for Appointed Persons, Introduction to Employee Relations, Feedback Skills and Leading and Managing Legally.
+ this role will involve one or two late evenings each week+
