Health, Safety and Risk Manager
Job Introduction
Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced Health, Safety & Risk Manager. You will provide safety; health, risk, & quality support to Sodexo operations and external clients in accordance with Company procedures and agreed objectives. This role will cover sites across Northern England and Scotland so you must be prepared to travel. The role offers a competitive salary, company car and excellent benefits.
Role Responsibility
- Assist with the implementation of Health, Safety and Quality systems on the mobilisations of new contracts.
- Implement, monitor and review health and safety policy and action plans ensure Sodexo complies with best practice and legislative requirements.
- Promote and develop a Safety Culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities throughout the Sodexo operational delivery.
- Undertake environmental, health and safety planning, including the setting of goals, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management.
- Assist sites with the preparation of risk registers.
- Management of site Action Plans following Red audits and RIDDOR accidents / incidents.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Sodexo Health, Safety & Risk strategy and delivery.
- Ensure that all quality systems for Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality are maintained and monitored
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- National H&S qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
- Detailed knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
- Good organisational /communication skills. Produce concise information
- Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
- Self motivated and able to motivate others
- Proven recent experience in Health, Safety & Risk
- Full clean driving licence

- Experience of implementing Health & Safety and Quality Systems
- Sense of humour
