Catering Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Manager to lead the student catering operation for an independent boarding school. This role will require an innovative and client focused individual to lead the operation.

Role Responsibility

To be responsible for all day to day aspects relating to the management and maintenance of the catering service and equipment within the contract specification to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
To provide an excellent service to the agreed standards in accordance with the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators specified in the service contract
To actively enforce relevant statutory, company and site Health & Safety compliance together with high levels of food hygiene
To be responsible for scheduling of work within the specified details of the contract
To manage the catering team of eight employees effectively using company procedures, policies and resources
To liaise with the client on site on all aspects of the service including regular reviews, invoicing and compliance

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Essential

Previous experience in a similar role
Experience of managing a team within a catering environment

Ability to interact with children
Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety
Excellent communication skills
Good knowledge of the food industry

Desirable

Experience of working in an education setting
Qualification in Health and Safety
