At Sodexo, we believe that a clean, safe, and welcoming environment makes all the difference. We are now looking for a Working Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our cleaning team at the University of Greenwich, ensuring the highest standards across student residences and campus facilities.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will supervise, motivate, and support your team, while actively contributing to daily cleaning operations to ensure service excellence is consistently delivered.
Supervise and support the Cleaning Team to deliver high-quality services in line with SLAs and KPIs.
Actively participate in cleaning duties to maintain standards and provide hands-on support during busy periods.
Plan and manage staff rotas in collaboration with the Residence Manager, ensuring adequate cover for holidays and sickness.
Maintain a full understanding of cleaning standards, specifications, and required completion timeframes across all assigned areas.
Allocate and monitor reactive and planned tasks issued via the Helpdesk, including support during peak periods such as Summer School and accommodation changeovers.
Conduct regular quality audits, driving continuous improvement and maintaining high service standards.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, hygiene, and fire safety regulations, promoting safe systems of work and accurate incident reporting.
Control cleaning materials and equipment, undertaking stock checks, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring all equipment is safe and properly maintained.

Previous cleaning experience (supervisory experience desirable)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Good understanding of health & safety practices
Basic IT skills
