This is an exceptional opportunity to take full operational leadership of Sodexo’s Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services across the Microsoft UK & Ireland portfolio. As Area Lead, you will be entrusted with a complex, multi-site, high-profile account, acting as a senior, strategic partner to Microsoft while leading transformation, innovation, and outstanding service delivery.

This role sits at the heart of one of Sodexo’s most important global client relationships. You will set the operational direction, inspire high-performing teams, and act as the trusted interface between Sodexo, Microsoft, and key stakeholders—driving outcomes that matter.

The Role

As Area Lead, you will have full accountability for the delivery and performance of multiple IFM services across a cluster of Microsoft sites, ensuring standards consistently exceed contractual and client expectations. You will:

  • Lead end-to-end IFM service delivery across a complex, multi-site portfolio, ensuring SLA, compliance, and performance excellence at all times
  • Deliver Sodexo and Microsoft’s shared strategic objectives, including financial performance, operational KPIs, and long-term value creation
  • Act as the senior escalation point for operational, commercial, and client matters within the cluster
  • Drive transformation of the IFM model, embedding innovation, continuous improvement, and Operational Excellence initiatives
  • Lead the operational design and evolution of workplace services, ensuring alignment to Microsoft’s evolving needs
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team capable of delivering at scale
  • Proactively manage risk, governance, and assurance across the portfolio
  • Strengthen client relationships, supporting retention, growth, and future opportunities
  • Create a connected cluster community, sharing best practice and providing expertise across strategic accounts

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a credible, commercially astute leader with a proven track record of delivering excellence in large-scale outsourced environments. You will bring:

  • Extensive experience within outsourced Integrated Facilities Management
  • Proven success leading complex, multi-site operations and large workforces
  • Experience operating across international or matrixed environments
  • A strong track record of designing and delivering operational and transformation strategies
  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to develop viable solutions aligned to client needs
  • Experience in sector contracting and technical service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and support new business opportunities
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical capability, with confidence interpreting financial and performance data
  • A customer-first mindset, with a passion for building trusted, long-term relationships
