We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Senior HSE Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation.
you'll:
Drive the Zero Harm strategy and embed behavioural safety.
Lead the integration of a Just Culture, encouraging open reporting and fair consequence management.
Provide visible leadership through regular site visits and engagement with operational teams.
Oversee Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH compliance.
Ensure annual Q1 documentation reviews and Q3 training completion across all sites.
Identify gaps between "Work as Planned" and "Work as Done" and address operational drift.
Deliver "proof of service delivery" through leading indicators and digital safety tools.
Produce and present HSE performance dashboards for internal and client forums.
Lead incident investigations and share learning across the portfolio.
Act as the primary HSE advisor to senior client stakeholders.
Lead preparation for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits.
Support business growth by demonstrating the value of strong HSE performance.
Chartered status with IIRSM and/or IOSH (CMIOSH).
NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent degree-level qualification).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable: ISEP membership; ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification.
Extensive HSE experience in multi-site manufacturing or engineering.
Proven ability to lead cultural change and embed proactive, interdependent safety.
Strong background engaging with senior leaders and clients at board level.
Competence with digital EHS systems and generating intelligence-led insights.
Experience working with regulatory bodies (HSE, EA) and managing ISO audits.
Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation: HASAWA, PUWER, COSHH, LOTO.
Advanced risk management and ability to identify operational drift.
Data analysis capability to identify leading indicators and trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication with board-level presentation ability.
Skilled coach and mentor, supporting frontline leadership capability.
Commercially aware, aligning HSE with operational and contractual priorities.
Resilient, with the confidence to intervene and manage consequences fairly.
