Workplace Transformation Manager

A great opportunity has arisen for a Workplace Transformation Manager to join our team within a prestigious pharmaceutical client account based in Stevenage.

You will need to be brave and bold with your decisions, have a great eye for detail and be up to date with all the latest innovations a future workplace should have. You should have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and be prepared to challenge the status quo, gaining buy in to your ideas and following projects through from start to finish.

You’ll work with country and regional transformation leads within Sodexo to share ideas, best practice, and make our sites and our teams the best they can be!

Role Responsibility

  • To act as the single point of contact for all transformational activity across the R&D workplace. Co-ordinating and identifying improvement projects with a variety of Service Partners and third-party suppliers.
  • To support the client in managing a programme of site GEMBA activities and maintain action trackers for each Service partner to ensure timely delivery of workplace improvements are carried out.
  • To assist the comms team in shaping sitewide policies and procedures to educate the workforce on transformational activity and its impact on the workplace.
  • Ensure that health and safety is given the number one priority by in all workplace activities carried out by service partners and ensure that safety walks, near misses and observations are reported.
  • Own the Innovation road map for delivering workplace transformation projects. Embed Sodexo’s ‘Vital Spaces’ and Innovation hub tools as dedicated platforms for supporting the transformation of the workplace within the Stevenage site
  • Act as the operational interface between the site client, Sodexo account team and all other service partners based at site.
  • To own the end to end customer experience of the site users within area of responsibility and build a network of Client’s staff contacts in each workspace to obtain feedback that informs the workplace strategy.
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo and account strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the company mission and values
  • Foster long term profitable relationships with client that add value and are based on mutual trust and partnership model to maintain existing business and identify new business opportunities
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement of people, systems and processes
  • Support the Account Director and Site General Services Manager in the development of business strategy in line with current and emerging client needs

Interface and collaborate with service operations and transversal functions and subject matter experts to ensure value for money is achieved through robust management of suppliers and measurement of performance

  • Experience in operating in a professional corporate environment
  • Relationship builder and experience in working in a matrix delivery environment
  • IT literate and financially astute
  • A track record in delivering transformation projects
  • Broad knowledge of outsourced service provider frameworks
  • Knowledge of Health and safety in the workplace and its application to project delivery
  • Able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Analyse problems, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions

Desirable

  • Previous experience of operating in a Pharma environment 
  • Project management qualification
  • Corporate member of relevant professional institution
  • Influencing skills
