Working Chargehand

Job Introduction

As a Working Chargehand at Sodexo for Vermillion in Bellanaboy Bridge Gas Terminal, Glenamoy we will rely on your expertise and technical knowledge to undertake completion of reactive maintenance tasks both inside and outside of normal working hours. You will also oversee ensuring that all equipment is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced. By keeping others safe, your actions have a meaningful impact. What you'll do:

• Coordinate and direct all hard service tasks in conjunction with the General Services Manager
• Co-ordinate electrical planned maintenance to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance targets.
• Develop and maintain client relationships in order to stabilise & develop them for long term partnerships
• Identify opportunities for project growth and new business.
• Assisting the General Services Manager in Projects as required.
• Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation relating to safety and compliance
• Strategic and technical support – professional advice to customers, peers and team.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience working in a facilities team.
• Full Clean Driver Licence
• Industry acumen and knowledge of electrical services.
• Good understanding of budget management
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in a standards /compliance environment
• Proficient in Microsoft packages particularly Excel.
• Attention to detail & accuracy is essential
• Ability to work on own initiative & to be proactive
• Responds helpfully and courteously to requests for information or help
• Can do attitude.
• Independent will self-direct.
• Self-aware in meeting environments – Knows when to speak up,
• Friendly and supportive.
• Exhibits leadership qualities through direction of others
