What you’ll do:
- Program Leadership: Develop and execute holistic wellness programs with a focus on mental health, stress management, and lifestyle improvements. Offer guidance on healthy eating to improve overall well-being for members. All program implementations must be meticulously documented in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents. Additionally, create reports for the General Services Manager (GSM) to track progress and align with ongoing strategic goals.
- Event Coordination: Support the GSM and the on-site team in developing and executing engaging wellness events, workshops, and seminars. Your role will involve aiding in the logistical planning and execution of these events, ensuring they align with the overall wellness strategy and member needs.
- Facility Oversight: Manage the operational aspects of the gym and exercise studios, ensuring high standards of service and facility management, with an emphasis on wellness. Ensure that facilities are equipped with the latest in health and fitness technology.
- Member Engagement: Serve as members' primary point of contact, addressing their needs and enhancing their experience through excellent service and proactive communication. Develop feedback mechanisms to assess satisfaction and adapt wellness strategies accordingly.
- Innovation: Continually assess and expand the wellness offerings, including dietary considerations, to keep programmes dynamic and appealing to a diverse member base. Explore new wellness trends and integrate cutting-edge health practices.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all members and staff. Regularly review and update safety protocols and emergency response strategies.
- Financial Assistance: Assist the GSM and the client with the financial aspects of the wellness programmes and events.
- Professional Development: Stay current on the latest trends in health and wellness, maintaining relevant certifications and knowledge. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the wellness team.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in managing comprehensive wellness programmes and organising health-related events.
- Excellent people skills to engage and motivate participants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively working with diverse clients and professionals.
- Knowledge of general health and wellness practices, with a basic understanding of nutritional concepts being a plus, but not essential
- A background in fitness facility management with a strategic vision for integrating wellness into traditional fitness settings.
