We’re now recruiting for a Weekend Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of essential soft FM services across our ESNEFT contract. You will need to be based in the Colchester and Ipswich area; a full driving license is also required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong, hands-on leader to coordinate weekend operations across two acute hospitals, four community inpatient sites, and several clinics. From portering and cleaning to patient dining, security, and logistics, your role will be vital to ensuring smooth, compliant and compassionate care support is maintained throughout the weekend.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage weekend delivery of soft services including portering, cleaning, patient dining, waste, helpdesk, logistics, visitor and retail services
- Ensure compliance with NHS standards, Sodexo policies, and service level agreements
- Act as the key weekend contact across multiple healthcare locations
- Maintain operational continuity, monitor KPIs, and ensure all staffing and resource needs are met
- Support and engage teams through clear communication, guidance, and issue resolution
- Drive service excellence, safety and patient satisfaction
What You Bring:
- Previous experience in facilities management or soft services management, ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience in managing a range of services, including portering, cleaning, patient feeding, and waste management.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, infection control protocols, and waste management regulations.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
