Weekend Cook Supervisor

Job Title: Weekend Cook Supervisor

Hours: Sunday 6:30am till 11:30am

Salary: £19 per hour

 

About the Role

We’re looking for apassionate and reliable Chef / Cook to join our team in Wirral. You’ll prepare and serve high-quality food that meets Sodexo and clientstandards while maintaining a safe, clean, and friendly kitchen environment.

 

What You’ll Do

Food Preparation & Service

  • Prepare, cook, and present food (mainly breakfast service) to a high standard.
  • Follow recipes and production plans to make sure portions and quality are consistent.
  • Keep all kitchen and service areas clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Serve food in a professional, friendly, and hygienic way.
  • Make sure all food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.

Day-to-Day Operations

  • Help the team run the kitchen smoothly each day.
  • Support your colleagues to deliver great service.
  • Take part in daily briefings and team meetings.
  • Keep accurate records such as temperature checks, cleaning schedules, and stock rotation.
  • Use stock efficiently and help reduce waste.

Safety & Hygiene

  • Always follow Sodexo’s Health & Safety and Food Safety rules.
  • Complete HACCP paperwork correctly.
  • Use the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep your work area clean and safe for everyone.

Teamwork & Leadership

  • Work closely with other team members and support them when needed.
  • Set a good example through your attitude, standards, and teamwork.
  • Help train new team members in food preparation, hygiene, and service.
  • Communicate well with your manager and team to solve problems quickly.

Customer Service

  • Deliver friendly and professional service to all customers.
  • Handle requests and complaints politely and efficiently.
  • Build good relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised catering qualification and valid Food Safety Certificate.
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen or catering environment.
  • A passion for good food and high standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
