Location: Slough, SL1 4LG
Working Pattern: 42 hours per week – 4 on, 4 off rota (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, 4 days off)
Hourly Rate: £15.30 per hour
Job Introduction
Are you ready to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of waste services at a busy production facility? We’re looking for a committed Waste Operative to join our on-site team in Slough. In this important position, you’ll be responsible for the efficient removal and coordination of waste products, helping the factory maintain safety, environmental compliance, and seamless operations.
What you’ll do:
Manage waste materials efficiently in line with operational policies and procedures
Monitor and report on equipment condition and performance
Carry out scheduled checks and inspections as per waste management protocols
Liaise with internal teams to coordinate waste distribution across the site
Follow standard operating procedures and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
Support the wider Facilities Management team and participate in training with a proactive and safety-first mindset
What you bring:
Valid FLT licence including electric pallet truck certification
Strong communication and people skills, with experience in a customer-focused role
Proven ability to lead and support teams effectively
Confident using computers and systems
Professional integrity, with a proactive and responsible work ethic
Flexible, motivated, and team-oriented with a focus on achieving operational targets
