What you’ll do:     

  • Waste Collection and Transport: Provide a spotless service by collecting and transporting waste from commercial and industrial areas.
  • Recycling and Disposal: Sort recyclable materials and ensure the proper disposal of non-recyclable waste in line with company and environmental guidelines.
  • Minor Maintenance: Conduct routine checks carry out minor maintenance tasks and handle basic repairs.
  • Reporting Issues: Report any larger maintenance issues that require specialist attention to the appropriate department.
  • Safety Compliance: Keep yourself and our teams safe by following safety procedures and hazard prevention guidelines.
  • Cleanliness Standards: Uphold cleanliness standards according to industry regulations and company policies.

What you bring: 

  • Driving License: A valid driving license is required, as travel between two sites is necessary.
  • Experience: Previous experience in waste management is a bonus, but a willingness to learn is key.
  • Waste Disposal Knowledge: Familiarity with waste disposal procedures is preferred.
  • Safety Focus: Strong attention to safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Physical Capability: Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Package Description

Waste Operative and Maintenance

  • Monday - Friday 7AM - 4:30 PM
  • 42.5 hours per week
  • £12 per hour + Sodexo benefits
  • Free parking onsite
