Warehouse and Distribution Manager (Defence site)

Our catering, retail and leisure facilities have been developed to combine high street style restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and leisure services

As Warehouse & Distribution Manager you will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of all aspects of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to Service Families Accommodation (SFA) on behalf of the MoD Authority

You'll also ensure all aspects of Supply Store management comply with MoD and Logistic Support Group policies, procedures and regulations

Role Responsibility

• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of DAS to Service Families Accommodation (SFA)
• Co-ordinate the DAS delivery process with both internal and external agencies
• Oversee the allocation of personnel duties within the operational area for delivery of SFA DAS
• Co-ordinate and monitor the Customer Distribution Department in accordance with LSG policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with MoD stores and accounting regulations within the LSG Supply Store
• Account for all Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) using the nominated MoD and Sodexo accounting applications
• Maintain and control all Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) in accordance with MoD and Sodexo policies and procedures
• Produce statistics and reports as required by internal and external organisations
• Ensure compliance with all MoD and Sodexo auditing procedures using the appropriate applications and documentation
• Ensure staff are trained to appropriate company standards and new personnel undertake the Sodexo induction process
• Ensure the Sodexo Performance Development Review process is carried to expected company standards  for all personnel within the operational area
• Conduct regular and detailed meetings with all staff within the Supply Store operational area
• Ensure the efficient use of LSG Road Vehicle Fleet in accordance with MoD and Sodexo policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all legal and policy related documentation for the LSG Road Vehicle Fleet
• Collect all required documentation and data for LSG Road Vehicle monthly statistics and reports in accordance with LSG policies and procedures
• Comply with Legislative and Company direction regarding the Environment and Waste Management. You are encouraged to discuss areas where the Company can improve their Environmental and Waste Management performance
• Comply with and fully support all current Company and Legal Health & Safety regulations

• Experienced manager in a warehouse environment
• Proven experience in running a transport fleet
• Inspiring leadership skills with the ability to motivate your team
• The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• An analytical approach to work

Package Description

£Competitive salary of £20,000-£23,000 plus benefits including bonus, pension, very popular group discount schemes, option to buy additional flexible benefits such as holidays, healthcare etc
