Warehouse Coordinator

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Management of stock control: receipt, positive release, storage, picking materials, timely delivery of materials, transferring materials to the correct area, and correct document recording, labelling and data entry into the IT system.
  • Co-ordination of all materials to ensure they are moved, stored and segregated correctly in the warehouse.
  • Planning, organizing and controlling of Warehouse over-all operations.
  • Constantly plan out all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and set SLA’s.
  • Coordinate the movements and storage of finished products.
  • Manual stock checks and date checks of warehouse inventory.
  • Picking of consumer test materials for despatch.
  • Moving of waste from the laydown area to waste area.
  • Reporting of materials due for expiry and managing disposal of these items.
  • Picking of small quantities of samples and packaging components.
  • Ensure that Sodexo’s health and safety requirements are met
  • Take responsibility for the security of the area and stock.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area.
  • Improvement & development of the warehouse operations and function.
  • Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse administration.
  • Coordinate a team with safety and efficiency as priorities.
  • Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.
  • Clearly understand the demarcation, boundaries and responsibilities in terms of the warehouse function and the rest of the AMC building and operations.
  • Liaison with the Research & Development and Materials Innovation Factory Logistic teams in terms of deliveries and movements between the teams and sites.
  • Facilitate the fleet of Toyota truck costs and any maintenance required.
  • Manage a stock of consumables including reordering requests via the site Ariba purchasing system.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure the movement of materials in and out of the warehouse is recorded.
  • Attend regular Sodexo training updates
  • Attend applicable Unilever client meetings as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have a proactive nature and the ability to work on your own initiative without supervision.
  • Must have a clear understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Must have an understanding of COSHH, CLP and GHS regulations and associated hazards.
  • Must be computer literate and have a good knowledge of Microsoft office/similar software.
  • Numerate and literate with developed communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate effectively and to relate to Sodexo services.
  • Organisation skills and structured methods of working.
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload accordingly.
  • Good administrative and customer service skills.
  • Portray at all times a professional image to our client.
  • Very Narrow Isle Truck (VNAT) and Counterbalance FLT certificates is desirable.
  • Experience in a similar warehouse role is desirable.
