As a Ward Host/Hostess at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital, Winchester Road, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh SO53 2DW, you’ll play an important role in delivering delicious meals and a positive experience to patients, staff, and visitors. Your cheerful attitude and friendly interactions can brighten someone’s day and bring comfort during challenging times.

What You’ll Do:
Follow all company health, safety, and food safety training.
Ensure prompt delivery of services meeting company and client standards.
Attend work with clean uniform, adhering to personal hygiene policy.
Comply with reasonable requests from line managers within required timeframes.
Assist with preparing all meals for patient food service.
Accurately assemble and present patient meals on trays.
Maintain stock control and rotation procedures.
Complete required audit and quality standards documentation.
Provide general assistance throughout the catering department.
Adhere to legislation, client, Trust, and company policies for meal service.
Wash up crockery and cutlery using dishwashing equipment.
Transport food service trolleys for patient meals.
Record food temperatures before serving to patients.
Ensure special dietary requirements are met for patients.
Serve meals attractively and according to portion size requests.
Monitor and report meal wastage levels.
Keep ward kitchens clean and report equipment faults.
Maintain ward stock and issue levels as agreed.
Respond to any reasonable manager requests as needed.
