Ward Host / Catering Assistant

About the role
Hospital stays can be quite a stressful and worrying time for our patients and their loved ones. A simple smile and high-quality service can put our patients at ease and make all the difference! 

At Sodexo our Ward Hosts and Catering Assistants are vital to making sure that we provide a great all-round service for our patients - they are the ones who engage with our patients the most, so its important that you make them feel welcome and relaxed.

You will assist in the preparation of patient food, communicating with the kitchen to ensure that all food orders are made and that any dietary requirements are provided for.

You will follow a strict cleaning schedule ensuring that the pantry is kept clean and tidy.  

Please note, due to the nature of this role you must be aged 18 and over.


A few things about you
Our patients are at the heart of everything we do so it’s important that fantastic customer service is always at the forefront! If you are a compassionate, friendly and approachable individual with great communication skills this could be the perfect role for you! 

We are looking for a strong team player who enjoys and works well as part of a team.

Food hygiene level 2 or above would be great, but don’t worry if you do not have this as we are still keen to hear from you!

  • £11.05 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week
