Apprentice Volunteering Coordinator

Job Introduction

As a Volunteering Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Sodexo's Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability strategy for the UK & Ireland. You'll be at the forefront of facilitating the deployment of impactful volunteering initiatives that align with our values and ethics and forms a key part of our Social Impact Pledge. Your work will empower and embed volunteering across Sodexo while upholding our values and Health & Safety culture.

The desired candidate should be based in the Manchester area and will have the option to work from our Salford office. This role will involve frequent travel, typically at least once a week. You'll also represent other sustainability initiatives such as food waste reduction that contribute to our Net Zero goals.

We're seeking a passionate candidate who possesses valuable life experiences. The ideal candidate actively engages with the community and has a history of volunteering, recognising the significance of giving back. Your experience in the charitable sector will be highly valued, and your interest in sustainability and charitable causes is a must.

What you’ll do:
  • Plan and facilitate volunteering opportunities across the UK&I using the Goodness Platform.
  • Support our teams in accessing and maximising the benefits of the Goodness Platform.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of volunteering hours across various opportunities.
  • Curate compelling stories and content for our communication channels.
  • Assist in developing and producing case studies and award submissions for Sustainability initiatives.
  • Share best practices, innovative ideas, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Utilise data to demonstrate the local impact of our initiatives through a social impact lens.

Eligibility for Apprenticeship:
If you're interested in completing an apprenticeship, here's what you need to know:
  • You should have resided in the UK for the past 3 years or possess "settled status."
  • You must not have acquired similar prior learning.
Desirable Qualifications:
Additionally, having Maths and English qualifications at GCSE level 4/C and above would be advantageous. If you don't possess these qualifications, you'll have the opportunity to undertake functional skills training to fulfil this requirement.
