HMP Addiewell opened in 2008 and is run by Sodexo under contract to the Scottish Prison Service with an emphasis on being a “learning” prison. Here residents can address their offending behaviour and the circumstances which led to their imprisonment through Purposeful Activity.

HMP Addiewell is now seeking a Violence Reduction Manager who will play a critical part in providing a safe environment for prisoners to live and staff to work.

Working closely with both the safer prisons teams and the Head of Residence it will be your responsibility to scrutinise ~~acts of~~ violent incidents within the prison and ensure that they are correctly reported and managed.

Taking a positive approach to your role you will provide advise our population of Prison Custody Officers on the management of violent incidents and use each incident as an opportunity to create a deliverable learning opportunity.

In addition you will also have an involvement with developing a peer support pathway within the prison.
