Trainee Asset Surveyor

Job Introduction

As a Trainee Asset Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced Surveyors and Data Analysts while assisting in analysing survey data during low-demand periods. Your main responsibilities will involve coordinating a schedule of condition surveys, conducting technical audits, and aligning asset data with site teams. You will also collaborate with our Supply Chain Partners and contribute to the quality assurance and verification process of sub-contracted surveyor data. By joining us, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of building services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
 
This role offers a unique opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship in building services engineering while gaining hands-on experience in surveying, data analysis.

What you’ll do:
  • Perform quality assurance and audit of sub-contractor surveying resource output as part of the survey verification process.
  • Conduct condition surveys of Mechanical & Electrical assets, capturing data associated with each asset's classification, condition, criticality, and attributes.
  • Populate the data collection app with relevant data and prepare comprehensive reports detailing plant condition, defects, and repair recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Surveyor to validate and advise the site team on necessary actions based on survey findings.
  • Deploy various elements of Asset Management services in alignment with the Asset Management Framework.
 
What you bring:
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred, or minimum HNC/HND in a relevant building services discipline.
  • Proficiency in data capture software, preferably Kykloud, and MS Office applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of M&E assets and their associated attributes preferred.
  • Familiarity with building services installation and maintenance (SFG20) preferred.
  • Awareness of legislative requirements related to building services installations preferred.
  • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • IAM Certificate or Diploma preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS systems preferred.
