Test Analyst UAT OAT
Job Introduction
Our UK&I QA team have a fantastic new opportunity for a Test Analyst UAT OAT.
The right candidate will play a lead role in a high-quality assurance / testing team to provide assurance on the software release process. You will be a specialist in latest QA / testing techniques and processes; key to the role is to manage and motivate the team working with internal and external stakeholders as required.
IS&T systems are broad ranging and complex with several legacy applications requiring increasing levels of integration. Technologies being Quality Assured include SaaS based solutions, IaaS, PaaS, and Azure Cloud based solution working with 3rd party packages and integrations as well as in-house developed solutions.
You will work with colleagues across the organisation and within the UK&I IS&T SDLC Framework is a key requirement.

Role Responsibility
Responsible for creating and executing testing activities to ensure services meet new or amended requirements
Responsible for rigorously planning, writing, executing test scripts
Provide reports on testing results, coverage and make recommendations where necessary
Participate in the delivery of Client based applications, Web Applications, Mobile and Portals to support business objectives
Interpret and negotiate business requirements to deliver high quality, customer focused testing solutions
Work within the SDLC Framework and standard tools such as JIRA, Zephyr and ALM
Generate test data and metrics, communicate test status, and analyse test results to ensure software meets end-user requirements
Ensure software performs to the agreed specification using the following test techniques where appropriate
Identify, prioritise and record defects including documenting information useful in the debugging process, evaluating test data, problem discovery, tracking and resolution
Ensure software is released in a controlled and accurate manner to test and production environments
Assist and liaise with relevant users and business contacts to ensure effective completion of formal User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Perform release functions as required; maintain release and associated documentation
Contribute to process development and documentation in the QA and Release areas
Ensure that correct notifications of releases are distributed to interested parties as required
Liaise closely and communicate effectively within the company, departments and development teams
Contribute to Knowledge Management to ensure that necessary knowledge of relevant changes are documented and distributed as necessary
Mentor & support other QA team members, where appropriate
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested by management
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified to ISEB / ISTQB Practitioner level (or Intermediate Level with 2+ years post qualification experience)
Knowledge and appreciation of ITIL and the agreed standard project methodology
Attention to detail with good organisational, communication skills
Good interpersonal and influencing skills (consensus building, conflict resolution, etc)
Ability to deliver complex work with minimal direction Experience of implementing business systems and IS/IT infrastructure
Experience of QA and Test functions
Good understanding of IT and its application in the business environment
Good understanding of the MS product suite, including use of MS Office
Ability to plan and manage own workload
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Strong technical knowledge of automated build, test and deploy tools
Experienced in test execution processes and test tools such as Application Lifecycle Management and Jira
